Jean Le Cam 8th across the line and 4th overall on Yes We Cam!

On a wet, windy, unpleasant Thursday night it was at 19:19:55hrs UTC that Jean Le Cam crossed the finish line of the ninth Vendée Globe to take fourth place overall. Although he actually passed the line eighth, with his time compensation of 16hrs and 15minutes he moves up to fourth, in fact missing the podium by just 3hrs 19 mins 43 seconds.

Vendée Globe 2020 100% CDK Technologies podium

Yannick Bestaven’s victory on Maître CoQ IV in 80 days, 03 hours, 44 minutes and 46 seconds (including compensation), adds a new line to CDK Technologies’ list of achievements as the yard responsible for the boat’s construction. Topping the leaderboard 157 times and proving virtually unbeatable in the south. It’s a marked contrast to his first attempt at the Vendee Globe, which ended with dismasting only hours after the start. After that experience he didn’t return to the race for more than a decade.

When two become one, Escoffier transferred off Yes We Cam!

At around 0210hrs UTC at a location in the South Indian Ocean some 360 miles north of the remote Crozet archipelago, Kevin Escoffier (PRB) was successfully transferred from Jean Le Cam's IMOCA to the Nivôse, a French Navy frigate.
