SVR Lazartigue second place in the Ultim 32/23

François Gabart took second place in the Ultim 32/23 class on the 12th Route du Rhum-Destination Guadeloupe when he brought his SVR Lazartigue through the Pointe-à-Pitre finish line at 12:18:15hrs UTC this Wednesday afternoon (08:18:15hrs local) He finished in an elapsed time of 6 days, 23 hours, 3 minutes and 15 seconds, 3 hours 15 minutes and 50 seconds after class winner Charles Caudrelier (Maxi Edmond de Rothschild). It is the second time in successive races that the French ocean racing star has finished runner up on the classic solo Transatlantic. In 2018 he was denied victory by Francis Joyon who won the 3542 nautical miles course by seven minutes after 7 days and 14 hours of racing.

CDK Technologies continues to expand.

6 months on from the acquisition of CDK Technologies by Inspiring Sport Capital, the first of the stated aims takes concrete form today with exclusive talks regarding the acquisition of a business that is very familiar to skippers, La Rochelle-based C3 Technologies. An operation to promote external growth, it complements the extension of its premises in Lorient, which is scheduled for the second quarter of 2023.

Route du Rhum – Destination Guadeloupe

Created in 1978 by Michel Etevenon, the Route du Rhum-Destination Guadeloupe has made a name for itself as the quintessential singlehanded transatlantic race with a legendary course spanning 3,542 miles (6,562 kilometres) between Saint Malo and Pointe-à-Pitre. On 6 November 2022, the 12th edition of the event will gather together 138 sailors in Saint Malo, divided up into six categories of sailboat. Sixteen of these boats (three Ultims, eleven IMOCAs and two Ocean Fiftys) benefit from the experience and expertise of the CDK Technologies yard, which specialises in the construction of prototype yachts and whose productions have systematically monopolised all the most prestigious offshore racing podiums for over 35 years.

APIVIA, winner of the '48 Heures Azimut' Solo ranking

It was at 06:48 hours that Charlie Dalin took line honours on Apivia. He completed the 505-mile straight line course in 1 day, 15 hours, 42 minutes and 50 seconds at an average speed of 12.72 knots, actually covering 614 miles (average speed 15.48 knots).

Launch of Maître CoQ V

The new IMOCA Maître CoQ V – reference CDK-I(F)16-2022 – was launched on Monday 29 August 2022 in Port-La-Forêt, Brittany. Just a matter of weeks after the completion of the composite work, it’s a crowning moment for the teams at CDK Technologies, skipper Yannick Bestaven and his Maître CoQ team, naval architect Guillaume Verdier, as well as all those involved in the construction of the 60-footer since June 2021. Built using the moulds of American boat 11th Hour Racing Team 2.

Interview with Faustine Neve

Joining CDK Technologies in the spring of 2018 as secretary, Faustine Neve quickly moved up through the ranks and now has the role of Administrative Assistance alongside Sylvie Daguin at the Lorient site. In charge of processing documents, she supervises all the day-to-day tasks necessary for the smooth running of the company. These tasks span numerous areas of expertise from accounting to administration, human resources and customer and supplier relations. Her main asset? It has to be her versatility!
