New multihulls record on the Monaco-Saint Tropez

Giovanni Soldini and Maserati Multi 70’s Team just set a new record on the 48-mile-long Monaco-Saint Tropez route: 2 hours, 25 minutes and 44 seconds. The Team set sail last night from La Spezia for a tour of tests and trainings in the Mediterranean, they arrived in Monaco this morning and decided to attempt to improve the time on the route to Saint Tropez, even though the weather conditions weren’t perfect.

Lion Hearted Sam Davies Completes Solo Vendée Globe Route Outside The Race

After being forced to abandon her race on 5th December following a violent collision with a floating object south of Cape Town two days earlier, British skipper Sam Davies sailed back into Les Sables d’Olonne in beautiful spring sunshine this afternoon to complete an inspirational round the world passage fulfilling her pledge to complete the Vendée Globe route outside of the race rankings.

CDK Technologies one of the industrial partners Chantiers de L'Atlantique

Chantiers de l’Atlantique announced today the upcoming installation of a first-of-its-kind model of Solid Sail/AeolDrive, its solution for sailing propulsion adapted to large ships, on the very heart of the shipyard,. This announcement was made during an e-event broadcasted live from the MSC Virtuosa in Saint-Nazaire. The event gathered the presidents of the Regional Concil of Brittany and Pays de la Loire as well as the local and regional industrial partners involved in the project and Jean le Cam, skipper and technical consultant on the project since its beginning.

Jérémie Beyou (Charal) 13th in the Vendée Globe

After having had to return to Les Sables d’Olonne because of technical breakdowns and restart over nine days after the fleet started on Sunday 8th November. The skipper of Charal finished at 08:15:58 hrs UTC this Saturday 6th February in an elapsed time of 89 days, 18 hours, 58 seconds. He finished 9 days, 15 hours, 12 seconds after winner Yannick Bestaven.

Clarisse Cremer (Banque Populaire X) finishes 12th, breaks female solo monohull round the world record

After a prudent, careful passage across the Bay of Biscay, negotiating one last stormy low pressure Clarisse Cremer crossed the finish line of the ninth Vendée Globe at 15:44:25 hrs UTC to take an excellent 12th place on Banque Populaire X.
