Interview with Faustine Neve

Faustine Neve or the human being at the company’s heart

07-18-2022

Joining CDK Technologies in the spring of 2018 as secretary, Faustine Neve quickly moved up through the ranks and now has the role of Administrative Assistance alongside Sylvie Daguin at the Lorient site. In charge of processing documents, she supervises all the day-to-day tasks necessary for the smooth running of the company. These tasks span numerous areas of expertise from accounting to administration, human resources and customer and supplier relations. Her main asset? It has to be her versatility!

Interpersonal skills, a global approach, an awareness of the professional code of ethics and the confidentiality of documents, a sympathetic ear, rigour and organisation are all something Faustine Neve excels at in her capacity as Administrative Assistance for the company since September 2019, as well as treasurer of its Social and Economic Committee (CSE) since December 2020. Her role? Managing administrative documents (processing documents, drafting letters, etc.), keeping accounts, taking care of staff (contracts, holiday leave…), customer and supplier relations, processing certain files (distribution, archiving, etc.), opening mail, formatting of documents, as well as receiving visitors both face to face and over the telephone. “I’m in charge of managing a large part of the yard’s administrative tasks in the same way as Erell Berrehar on the Port-la-Forêt site. The pair of us are rare birds”, explains the trained graphic designer and offshore racing enthusiast.

A people person
I take receipt of and enter CDK Technologies’ suppliers’ invoices into our system to launch the validation chain for the latter. Moreover, I’m in charge of monitoring the time management of any non-managerial employees. This involves allocating the staff’s working times into the badge reader in relation to the various codes and projects carried out over the course of their working day, whilst ensuring that the clocking in and out times are adhered to”, explains Faustine who, for a long time, has been well aware that the human being is the distinguishing factor in terms of innovation and lasting success for the company. “It requires energy, good people skills as well as sincerity. Essentially, you need to be a people person,” assures the young woman, who is also responsible for doing the accounts for the company’s Social and Economic Committee.

Creating a true collective dynamic
“In conjunction with my colleagues, I’m in charge of the creation and management of the CSE’s communication media, such as newsletters, the website, posters, etc., as well as the management and implementation of service projects. It’s both exciting and fun to create a bond and value the human being rather than the rank. It creates a great dynamic within the company,” says the assistant, who recently set up an operation to track down some Golden Tickets to celebrate Easter, and is now busy drumming up enthusiasm amongst her associates to participate in a bike challenge next month. “All these activities are designed to bring the company to life and our aim is to come up with ideas which affect our whole workforce,” says Faustine Neve. “To my mind, there’s nothing more essential than seeing everyone happy to come to work in the morning, hook up with their colleagues again, learn new things, pursue and test innovations and see the positive effect all that has on the company’s image among its clients.
